Water - Just How Much?

One of the most common questions that I get asked all the time is how much water to drink.

Therefore, for the benefits of everyone, let me give a definitive on what I’ve learnt about water.

The answers would depend on your lifestyle and activity. If you play sports, run, walk or are otherwise active obviously you need more water.

If you are like most of the habitants of urban cities and are active 2 to 3 times a week when you go for a walk, then you need for water is much less.

So there is no universal quantity of water that you need to drink. Generally speaking, they talk about six to eight glasses of water a day. But this would very wildly depending on your life.

Therefore, the best way to understand how much what do you need is to test. There are too simple test that you can conduct at home.

First, you can look at the colour of your urine. If the colour is neutral, then you already drinking enough water.

Second, you can buy something called BH paper. Using the pH paper, you can test at home whether urine is neutral, acidic or alkaline.

The pH paper is obviously a much more sophisticated test and will give you accurate results.

Depending on what you found, you can dial up or dial down the amount of what are you drinking on a per day basis.

A lot of people get suck into the myth that you need to keep drinking water all the time

I know that in some practices, your advice to drink a lot of water at one time.

I would be very careful before I did either. Generally speaking your body likes to be pushed very very slowly and gently in either direction. Drinking a lot of water at one time especially without experience could strain your body.
