Money: It cannot buy commitment
Imagine we had no limits on money.
Would you spend a million dollars every year on extending your life?
You have probably heard of millionaires spending an extraordinary amount of money trying to extend their life.
In our own ways, we have all indulged. It could have been the $100 massage, the facial mist that hydrates, or the running shoes you thought you deserved.
The narrative in our head and in what we hear on the news, typically revolves around the money.
What gets lost is dedication and consistency.
Take the millionaire who is spending money. We all know it is easy to buy the running shoes. It is much harder to run consistently.
But he has showed a dedication and consistency toward his goal, that few of us can match.
While we focus on the money he spends, we glaze over his dedication.
You could agree or disagree with the science, but the dedication to health alone will extend life for him.
Because the funny thing is, money cannot buy dedication and committment.
If it could, there would not be a single unfit person with money.
So here is the good news.
You dont need money to be dedicated or committed. You dont need fancy pills or supplements. You dont need esoteric sounding cures medical or natural.
Dedication to your craft, is free.
Which means you, I or frankly anyone can indulge. You do not need privilge to participate.
In my experience of meeting thousands of people, I can easily confirm, that the ones who end up improving their health metrics are the ones who are consistent.
Sure, it is alluring to envy the millionaire who is transfusing plasma while flying in his jet. But if there is anything you should envy, it is the committment not the money.
Commitment is free.
