Grounding
A friend sent me a post from social media. Grounding mats are the fastest selling product on the Internet, the post said.
If you have also seen it and are curious to know why, let’s dig in.
Grounding at its simplest just means touching the earth with bare skin. Walking bare feet on grass or on sea sand, for example.
When you do, the electrons present in the earth, transfer to your body. Electrons, as we all know, are present in all atoms in your body.
Chemical and physical damage reduce the number of electrons creating rogue atoms and hence the donation from the earth is welcome.
So, why are grounding mats selling out?
The concept behind the grounding mat is to plug the mat into an electrical connection. The electrical connection would then have to be connected to the ground. Remember, our goal is “grounding.”
If indeed your electricity is grounded, which is likely, then the electrons from the ground transfer via the flowing electricity, donating electrons to you while you sleep.
Of course, you would ask, “Why cant I simply walk on the grass instead?”
There could not be a better way to achieving grounding than to walk on the earth.
But our lifestyles and societal pressures are such that if I found you walking barefoot on grass, I might think you are depressed or crazy or both.
So a grounding mat takes all the backlash out of the equation. After all, who is looking below your mat?
But pause and ask, are we dealing with a scientific concept? Does grounding even work?
Electrons transfer into your body from a wide variety of stimulii.
The sun hitting your skin, especially near infrared. The food that you eat, and the water that you drink, which donate electrons to your body. Walking on bare earth.
Yes, grounding mats if thats the only option you have.
All of these are welcome and used by your body to reduce the number of rogue atoms.
